Meerea Park Bebeah Semillon 2015

This new label is a tribute to Alexander Munro who established his 64 acre vineyard call 'Bebeah' in 1846. His great-grandsons Rhys (winemaker) and Garth (proprietor) Eather are now at the helm.

Fruit for this Semillon comes off Pokolbin vines planted in 1973. Hand picked then crushed and fermented in stainless steel.

Fresh lemony and citrus aromas spill from the glass. A subtle marigold flower wafts through too. Pale golden in colour, it was picked early to retain freshness (10.5% alc).

The fruit on the palate lacks the vibrancy which I thought the aromas would produce. But although a bit flat, this is an easy drinking wine nonetheless.

Chill ice cold and you could make easy work of it on a hot day.

Good.
