Hardy's Eileen Hardy Shiraz 2010

Just like the Eileen Hardy Chardonnay, this is an absolute pleasure to drink.

Coming off vines around 100 years old, one third sat in new French oak.

Vibrant in appearance it looks quite youthful despite being five years of age.

Some fruit sweetness, but damn the whole package is beautifully balanced. Silky smooth and then some. Black fruit, plums, chocolate... classic McLaren Vale. Dangerously delicate and soft.

It's holding back a little with poise ready to unleash. And when it does, watch out. Plenty of cellaring potential here.

Excellent.
