Eileen Hardy Chardonnay 2013

There's more Smooth Operator here than Sade I reckon. Delicately poised and made with precision. A terrific marriage of Tasmanian (65%) and Yarra Valley (35%) fruit.

Upon opening some gooseberry and green tomato aromas caught me on the hop. Surely not! But a little time in the glass settled it down to deliver the peach and lemon tang you'd expect. Well integrated oak leaves its mark with some toast and creaminess.

To put it simply, this wine is an absolute pleasure to drink. And what's more, the length seems forever lasting which makes every drop last that extra bit longer.

Long term cellaring is certainly an option.

Excellent and then some.
