Bird Dog Wines Unwooded Chardonnay 2013

Bird Dog is the entry level wine produced by Witches Falls. It has been deliberately kept separate from the core Witches Falls range. Wines in the range are only available via retail and cannot be purchased at the Mt Tambourine cellar door.

A whiff of squeezed lemon leads to caramelised peach which is the main player on a sedate palate which lacks drive and is very front and mid palate dominant. There's a slippery/greasy type finish but the fruit hangs on nicely.

In all, a fair wine but it needs food to be its wingman.
